Function Description

The Emerson/Yatson Technology MVME series MEbus single board computer is one of the first VMEbus to use on chip system MPC864XD processing technology. It provides a long path for VMEbus customers to apply on the upper VME, especially the MPC74xx processor. On chip system implementation provides power/thermal, reliability, and lifecycle advantages that are typically not available in modern architectures.

The combination of faster processors and the 2eSST VMEbus interface significantly improves performance. By using a USB interface, new cost-effective peripheral devices can be easily integrated,
